Super Bowl Tickets Worth Every Penny: Unless Patriots Fan

The New York Giants’ thrilling win over the New England Patriots, along with being the biggest upset in Super Bowl history, was also the most-watched Super Bowl ever, with 97.5 million viewers, Nielsen Media Research said Monday.
I have to admit, if it weren’t for the last couple minutes of the game, I would not have been as satisfied. With 1:15 remaining in the game, Eli Manning escaped three Patriot defenders and launched a 32-yard pass to keep them in the game. Should I mention that he caught it on his helmet?! It is one of the best series of events in football, hands down.
If the football game isn’t enough, there is always the commercials and half-time show to keep you entertained. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers performed quite well, with no wardrobe malfunctions, what-so-ever. Most commercials were sub-par, but there were a few that stood out.
A favorite commercial was Hank the Clydesdale, working with his personal trainer Dalmatian to get in shape to join the team that pulls the Budweiser beer wagon, while the theme song from “Rocky” played in the background.
The Bridgestone Firestone tire commercial of a car avoiding random things on the road, including Richard Simmons was pretty funny as well.
There were more misses than hits, however, and considering a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl was $2.7 million, I think a lot of advertisers need to think of better ways to spend their money.
