Motion Sickness Pills Before Watching Cloverfield, Really?

I am currently at a crossroads: should I or should I not go out and watch Cloverfield?

A movie trailer that has not even showed the villian has gotten so much hype, it would make me stupid not to want to watch it, right? Well, after the first week out, I have gotten mixed reviews of the movie. Now I am having second thoughts..

I heard horror stories of people vomitting from watching the movie because of the stupid “Blair Witch Project” type of recording. But others have said that it was a good movie and that if the movie wasn’t recorded that way, it wouldn’t have been as good.

Now a couple of months back when I saw this trailer in the previews watching another movie, I was very surprised. What looked like a typical movie with a bunch of people celebrating the new year turned out to be some sort of horror movie.

Seeing the head of the Statue of Liberty tumble to the floor, sold me to want to watch the movie, without even having to see who did that.

When the movie finally came out, I wasn’t as into it as I first was when the trailer came out, so I waited. And now I am in this position: seeing a movie that was #1 at the box office last week, but dropping to an abysmal #4 this week, to the obviously-not-funny, Meet The Spartans.

Here is where I ask the question, is it really worth it to endure an hour and 25 minutes of a homeade video of a yet-to-be seen monster, possibly getting grossed out (before I even see the monster)?

You tell me..
