Lost: The Beginning of the End, Not a Red Lobster Commercial

ABC is going a little overboard when showing ‘limited commercials’ before the episode and in between, because they are now showing full 3 minute commercials! Anyways, after 8 long months, Lost has finally returned..
Just a quick recap of the episode: It is the future/present and Hurley, along with Jack and Kate are 3 of the 6 survivors of “Oceanic Six”, which is what they are being called, apparently.
Back at the island, Locke does not believe that the rescuers are who they say they are, and chooses stay back at the island along with a significant number of others.
It is strange because Hurley stayed back with Locke but Kate and Jack stayed to be rescued. However, in the end Hurley, Jack and Kate end up surviving. That just means that it is far from over, and they will meet up once again on the island.
There were only a few other things I’d like to note from this episode. How could Naomi survive an axe to the back and climb a tree? The phone they were using to contact the rescuers looked a lot like a primitive iPhone. And finally, how the heck did Hurley see Charlie alive in the future/present, or did he imagine that like the glass shattering in the interrogation room?
It was nice to see the whole cast again, it’s been a long time coming. But I don’t think I was as satisfied as I would have wanted, considering I waited 8 months for this. Still, can’t wait for the next episode. What did everyone else think about the episode?
